Your account data

Your email is used to sign in, confirm your account and recover your password. Passwords are stored as salted hashes. A necessary session cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Confirmation and password reset links expire after 30 minutes. Technical hashes limit repeated access attempts for 15 minutes.

Your account is shared between the French and English editions. Unlocked episodes are associated with it so you can return to them after signing in. Creating an account does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

You can download your account data and permanently delete your account from your account page. Deletion applies to both languages and closes all sessions. Backup copies follow the hosting provider’s retention policy.

Reading and optional measurement

The English reading edition does not load the optional audience measurement script. Necessary account and security operations still apply. On the French site, optional reading measurement can be requested after successful creation of a personalised story; refusing it does not block reading. No intimate-preference profile is created by these account flows.

The French writing workshop

If you separately use the French personalised writing feature, its form choices and pseudonyms are sent to NovelAI. The result stays in server memory for ten minutes to prevent duplicate requests. Request IDs, times, states and the internal account ID are retained for 24 hours to enforce the quota. Deleting the account removes those states.
